Description

The gymnonotic oribatid mites of the Iberian Peninsula and Balearic Islands, excepting the Oppioidea, are revised in this volume. It deals with 178 species belonging to 37 families. This book contains identification keys, descriptions of all the taxa concerned, illustrations of each species as well as information about their geographical distribution and biology, especially as regards the Ibero-Balearic area. It also provides a complete bibliography and an updated revision about the systematic nomenclature of these mites.
