Description

This book is the result of 12 years of work and experience on the taxonomy and biogeography of the family Chrysididae in the Iberian Peninsula and the Balearic Islands. The first and more general part deals with the systematic position, morphology and natural history of this group of Hymenopteran insects. The second part begins with a catalog of the 170 ibero-balearic species belonging to 17 genera and three subfamilies. It also includes identification keys, descriptions and illustrations of each species as well as information about their geographical distribution and biology. The book supplies a complete bibliography and an updated revision about the Chrysididae systematic nomenclature.
